So much tea, so little concentration.

Having sat through several lazy post-drunken brunch episodes of Antique Roadshow, this is too good not to share.

“Man… Just a Man” Ambrotype from Alexey Alexeev.
Some of the cleanest examples of this alternative process which is a “wet” and very fiddly process done on glass.

Ryan McGinley, “Amanda Falling, Marionville, Missouri”
I don’t like very much of McGinley’s work despite him being one of the more influential young photographers.  He does produce work that for me stands out magnificently from what I feel is a body of work that’s relies heavily on pretty (vacant) young people running around being young and pretty. Then again I like Larry Clark so maybe its just having to deal with club kids up close from living in Williamsburg during the early 00’s that turns me off.
This is from his Wandering Comma series.

Artists pose nude in support of Chinese artist Ai Weiwei whose nude self/group portrait was determined to be pornography by the Chinese government.
The click through link is a collection of supporters and their self-portraits.
A Telegraph article provides background and the Weiwei photograph.

From the thumbnail I thought it was Noel Fielding with a cat.
